Our Current Sermon Series

Beginning August 11, we will be exploring a new sermon series at Urban Village Church, “Our Lives Matter.” Our Lives Matter: A Womanist Queer Theology, written by Rev. Dr. Pamela Lightsey, Site Pastor Hyde-Park Woodlawn, explores the identity of Black LGBTQ+ women and oppression as she explores queer theology.

Rev. Lightsey shares this book was written to share God’s inclusive love story with us. Join us as we explore a discussion of same-sex marriage and ordination rights.
