About the Hampton House Community Fridge
The Hampton House Community Fridge is a collaborative mutual aid effort between the Black Panther Party Cubs, Suburban Unity Alliance, and Best of Proviso Township. Located at the childhood home of Chairman Fred Hampton Jr., the fridge is situated on the lawn at 824 S 17th Street in Maywood.
Accessibility and Offerings
- Location: 824 S 17th Street, Maywood (on the front lawn of the Hampton House)
- Accessibility: Open 24/7, no sign-up or income requirements
- What’s Provided: Fresh fruits and vegetables, eggs, packaged meats, cereal, and more
